The 15th Annual High-Tech Innovation Awards Dinner & Technology Showcase is fast approaching. Registrations continue to flood in and we anticipate another record turn out. We have some announcements to be released this week, so we expect registrations to accelerate. And then we always have the registration crush in the last two weeks. This is an indirect way of asking everyone to register early so you're not excluded from the event of the year for the OC tech community. If you get on a waiting list, it is because we have blocked off a number of tables for the finalist companies, but these will be released and available after April 15th. You may register online by clicking 15th Annual High-Tech Awards Dinner & Technology Showcase registration. Or contact Yalanda Oglesby at 949-450-1500 ext. 101.

Another important part of this event is the Technology Showcase. We have showcase display tables available in the ballroom foyer. Reception guests must walk through the Technology Showcase to get to the bar. All you have to do is bring brochures, product samples, table top displays, promotional giveaways, and maximize the moment with over 600 of Orange County's technology leaders. Register online by visiting Technology Showcase, or contact Alan Wald.

Tech Summit 2008 in Sacramento

Did you know that the state legislature is considering the following: reducing the R&D tax credit, possibly as much as one-third; reducing the net operating loss deduction by one-half; adding a high-tech service tax; and adding a tax to the downloading of ALL digital goods? As the problems of the state budget are addressed, we should all expect to make some sacrifices. But if we stand by and watch passively, we could end up sacrificing the most and further affecting our competitiveness. Tech Summit 2008 is an opportunity to speak personally with our legislatures and influence the future of the tech industry through advocacy.

Project Tomorrow - AeA 3rd Annual Innovation in Education Summit

The Education Summit is a sister event to our 15th Annual High-Tech Innovation Awards Dinner & Technology Showcase and is a unique opportunity to communicate directly with our community stakeholders about the challenges and opportunities for improving K-12 math, science, and technology education. The Education Summit includes keynote addresses from national education and business leaders, panel discussions with local students, parents, educators, business and community leaders, and roundtable working sessions so that each participant has a voice in the process. Please register to attend this important event...
